For the past 7 to 8 years, I have been working in the field of toxin-free gardening in an urban area. What I am going to share is solely based on my experience.

Related to my work, I came into contact with GuruShree, and I felt that “yes, I am on the correct path and this is the destination from where I have to move further in this journey”. I got the opportunity to create beautiful gardens at our two offices in Pune- Geeta Mandir and Mithilesh.

Along with this work, I am also closely experiencing an initiative by GuruShree called ‘sj’s Purnabrahma’.

As an urban farmer, I know the importance of the process and the time needed for growing food. And then, from what we grow as food, one has to take great efforts to make that food into a meal. In cooking, the ‘process’ of cooking is as important as the ‘cooking’, what we add into the food while cooking, such as our thoughts, becomes a part of the meal too.

This is where sj’s Purnabrahma stands out. Apart from ingredients, what goes in our food is the love and passion during the cooking. At sj’s Purnabrahma, I saw the deep dedication and commitment with which care providers prepare food, which originates from GuruShree’s teachings. I experience that energized food and therefore, I want to share information about it with all.

Food is one of our basic needs. However, we neglect it so much that we just consume food to fill-in our stomachs. But, from such food, our mind, brain and thoughts don’t get enriched.

I realized that this is where GuruShree’s thoughtful work comes into the picture. He provides us ‘growth’ through experience only. Instead of just showing-off authority and telling us what to do, he insists and makes sure that one goes through the process of living a good and thoughtful life.

I observed that at sj’s Purnabrahma, he has given us a platform to explore ourselves and partake in the experience of following the various traditional norms such as washing your hands and feet before entering the house, chanting God’s name when cooking, cooking food with peace and happiness. Many minute but impactful things are followed here, such as bringing food into the house with respect.

The basic teaching we learn from here is that ‘ food is Purnabrahma- we believe that God resides within us and what we consume, whether it is food or thoughts that go into the food while cooking, directly reaches him. The environment that gets developed through this leads to enriching the quality of living together.’

What I feel is that at sj’s Purnabrahma, the team cooks and delivers good quality food with good ingredients, pure thought and love, which is of utmost importance. And such food doesn’t only feed your body, but it feeds your mind and soul too.
